I have loved baking since the day I was born. Other kids would come home from school and go out and play. I would grab Betty (Crocker) and head to the kitchen to see what I could whip up.
I wasn't always successful. Baking is a science. But my five brothers and sisters didn't really seem to care. They would eat all of my experiments.
Even now I sometimes have a mishap, but I look at those as learning experiences and I have not lost the desire to get it perfect next time!!
There are always new techniques, new products, new ideas. However, baking is still a science and as far as I am concerned, it is a beautiful one.
